Lake Chapala Paradise Gardens is located on the North shore of Lake Chapala, 35 minutes from the Guadalajara International airport.

Situated on a hilltop, Lake Chapala Gardens overlooks Lake Chapala and forms part of the municipality of Poncitlan. It is located about one km from the town of San Juan Tecomatlan, a small village of about 1500 people. The East West orientation enables the observation of sunrise and the sunset.

In October, the sun rises just in front of the peninsula of San Pedro. Generally a slight fog covers the horizon which causes the sun to appear as a red ball.

By October, the sun is behind the hills of the town of Chapala and it’s quite a sight to see. The rural setting of the Lake Chapala Paradise Gardens enhances the tranquility and relaxed atmosphere.

During the cooler winter nights the living room, is heated with an electric heater and can be used as a second bedroom utilizing the sofa bed and futon. The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and large full size doors which open to the terrace. In October the early rays of the sun are the perfect alarm clock.

• The kitchen is large with a breakfast counter.
• A party of up to forty guests will fit easily on the terrace.
• The stairs to the roof terrace are wide and comfortable with a secure railing.
• The roof terrace can be used for stargazing and study the 360 degree view.
• At a later date we plan to add an additional studio apartment on top for the guest speakers or moderators.
• Additional guests or overnight workshop participants could be lodged in near-by hotels or even in a guest motor home.
• Well laid out cactus garden featuring many different cacti.
• The large garden and lawns have facilities for camping.
